Your Google Business Profile is doing more work than your website
For local discovery, the profile and the reviews usually decide the booking. Both deserve a weekly routine.
Where local discovery actually happens
Most people deciding where to eat tonight never reach your website. They see a map result, a rating, a handful of photos, and a set of opening hours β and they decide from that.
Which means your profile is your storefront more often than your homepage is.
The basics, maintained weekly
Accurate hours everywhere, including holidays. Fresh photography every month. A menu link that loads instantly on a phone. Posts for events and specials. None of this is complicated; all of it decays if nobody owns it.
Reviews are an operations signal
Ask consistently at the right moment, reply to everything within forty-eight hours, and route critical feedback to the floor team rather than burying it. Review velocity matters as much as average rating for local ranking, and a run of similar complaints is usually telling you something true.
Photography is the highest-leverage asset
The photos on your profile do more selling than any caption you will write. Shoot the food as it is actually plated, the room when it is full, and the people who make it worth visiting.
